Let’s start with some basics: every child’s brain develops differently, and at different rates. Some children reach milestones quicker than others, and some may be slower to develop certain skills than others. And no matter what stage your child is in, there will be times when they need help learning or remembering things—including things that you might feel are simple or easy for them to learn.

Your child’s brain has lots of different parts that work together to help form memories, make decisions, and solve problems. They receive messages from their senses in order to understand the world around them. The part of the brain responsible for memory is called the hippocampus—and it grows as kids get older!
